Financial Assistance
- The following financial assistance is provided to the students of this university.
Undergraduate Programmes
- ICAR National Talent Scholarship of ₹3000 per month.
- College Merit Scholarship of ₹1000 per month (10% of enrolment in each class).
- OP Awasthi Memorial Merit Scholarship for one boy student of B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, College of Horticulture, Solan (Nauni) – ₹500 per month.
- Kanti Devi Awasthi Memorial Merit Scholarship for one girl student of B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, College of Horticulture, Solan (Nauni) – ₹500 per month.
- Government of India SC/ST and low-income group stipend through State Education Department (equivalent to tuition and other fees).
- Interest-free loan for SC/ST students from H.P. Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Corporation.
- District Soldier Board stipend (amount varies).
- UGC scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, and Persons with Disabilities.
Master's Programme
- University Merit Scholarship – ₹3000 per month (one in each discipline).
- University Stipend – ₹2000 per month for HP domicile students not receiving other assistance.
- Shri Lakshman Singh Thakur Memorial Merit Scholarship – ₹2500 per month for one M.Sc. student (Fruit Science – Temperate Fruits).
- ICAR Junior Research Fellowship – ₹12,640 per month plus ₹6000 contingent grant per annum.
- National Talent Scholarship – ₹5000 per month.
Doctoral Programme
- University Merit Scholarship – ₹5000 per month (one in each discipline).
- University Stipend – ₹2500 per month (for HP domiciles not receiving other assistance).
ICAR / CSIR Fellowship
- Awarded on the basis of All-India Competitive Examination conducted by ICAR / CSIR.
a) Master's Programme
- ICAR Junior Fellowship – ₹12,640 per month plus ₹6000 contingent grant per annum.
- National Talent Scholarship – ₹5000 per month.
b) Doctoral Programme
- ICAR / CSIR Senior Fellowship – ₹15,000 per month plus ₹10,000 contingent grant per annum.
- Other agencies such as INSPIRE (DST) and Aspee Foundation also award fellowships.
- Applications must be submitted through the concerned Dean.
